The most common symptom of both type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes is the feeling of thirst (2). Diabetics, people who suffer from diabetes, will feel a constant need of drinking water almost all of the time. They don’t feel the regular thirst that normal people do. They feel like they have been dehydrated, and they feel extreme dryness in their mouths. Another symptom that both type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes share is frequent urination, which is the constant feeling of peeing (2). The feeling of urination is more frequent in diabetics than healthy people. Because diabetes pull all the fluid from the cells and load it in the kidneys, which cause the constant urination. People who suffer from either type 1 diabetes or type 2 diabetes will have to deal with extreme weight loss (2). First, type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes can be treated the same by two main ways. These ways are eating healthy and exercising (6). Both type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes can be controlled by eating healthy. Having a healthy lifestyle is essential to diabetics. Not only because it treats the disease, but also because eating healthy will make the person more energized and he/she will have a better life. The second way is exercising which is very helpful as well. It is proven that exercising regularly can improves the blood circulation, improves the mood, promotes better sleep and the most important it can lower the risks of diabetes. Second, type 1 diabetes and type 2 diabetes are treated differently. Type 1 diabetes is treated with insulin (7). A hormone which regulates the amount of sugar in the blood, either by injections or insulin pump method, which is a small device worn externally that deliverers precise amount of insulin to the body (8). Unlike type 1 diabetes, type 2 diabetes is treated by diabetes medications. For example, Metformin is the most common given medication in type 2 diabetes. This medication improves the body tissues to use the insulin more effectively
