Type 1 you can be born with it and can be developed in our genes and develops when you grow. Therefore for Type 2 is the condition affecting the way the body produces blood sugar or in other words glucose. This is when your body inside can still produce insulin but as time flies your pancreas may produce less and less insulin making it harder for blood sugars to be levelled and when your blood sugar is too high and stay high too long it can damage most of the parts inside your body. However, people are more likely to develop diabetes. The link between both is needed to make insulin and maintaining the inside of the body and is properly functioning. People who have type 2 diabetes depends on high-calorie food to provide enough glucose and blood sugar. In New Zealand, type 2 diabetes is more common in the country. I found in research that in 2012/13 that obesity rates were highest amongst pacific adults (68%) and Maori adults (48.3%) and increasing the rate of diabetes in New Zealand. Also in research, the ministry of the health has estimated that there are approximately 100,000 people who have diabetes in New Zealand but have not yet been diagnosed. Also, poverty can affect your weight because most countries in the world who are poorer than the USA have a higher rate of obesity. For example, both Vietnam and Japan have an obesity rate of 3.5 in spite of a large difference in GDP per capita. Meanwhile, Greece, which is poorer than Japan, but richer than Vietnam, has an obesity rate almost eight times as high as both Asian countries (25.1
