We received a call from a “487 Grand theft investigation”, that occurred at 3393 E. Foothill Blvd (Ulta Beauty). Upon our arrival, we met with manager Castaneda, Daisy who stated the following in summary: On 4/09/2024, two female suspects entered the store and selected several hair care merchandises. Both suspects were carrying large tote bags. The suspects walked several times towards the rear of the store to conceal the merchandise. The suspects then exited the store without paying for the merchandise. Castaneda provided video surveillance of the incident. I reviewed the video surveillance and observed the suspects in the isle, selecting several merchandise. Both suspects concealed items in their tote bags that they were carrying. The suspects continued to select several merchandise from the isle and walk towards the rear of the store. I was unable to see the suspects conceal the merchandise that they took to the rear of the store due to the camera angle. I did observe the suspects return to camera view with no merchandise in their hands. Castaneda advised me that they did not report the incident to the police on 4/09/24 due to their store policy of having a store report completed first before advising the police.
