To be in the Olympics, a sport must bring value, equality and youth appeal to the games. In a article by Charles Bethea of the New Yorker, USA Ultimate’s CEO Tom Crawford theorizes the advancement of Ultimate could “enhance human existence when done right” adding, “[Ultimate] is like everything that you would want to bake into a sport, if you were creating it from scratch.” Ultimate is a demanding and critical sport that is more intellectually taxing than just a simple game of catch.
