This artwork was created by Frans Francken the Younger and is titled “Ulysses Recognizing Achilles among the Daughters of Lycomedes” and it depicts a scene from the Illiad in which Odysseus and some of Agamemnon’s comrades travel to Scyros to find Achilles in order to fulfill a prophecy that said Troy could not be taken without him. Odysseus discovered Achilles by offering gifts, adornments and musical instruments as well as weapons, to the king's daughters, and then having his fellow soldiers make noises that sound like an enemy's attack prompting Achilles to pick a weapon and fight and revealing himself.
