The aim of this unit is to help the learner develop the work related skills required in the sport and active leisure industry, which will help them to progress into a job in this industry. Learners will gain experience of customer service skills, working as a member of a team, and the work requirements in the sport and active leisure industry.
Scenario
You have recently started work in a local leisure centre, your duties include working on the reception of the gym selling memberships, giving new customers tours and answering any general queries customers may have.
Task 1
You must know about customer service in sport and active leisure.
You need to describe good customer service and demonstrate communication skills when dealing with customers, this will be done on a word document.
