In this task I will be building up on the information written in the PowerPoint, and analyse the different types of business information and their sources used by BBC, and finally talk about the advantages and disadvantages of the different types of communication.

The BBC have financial reports that they place on their websites to give the public an insight of their financial status and how they spend their money within the organization, and also them being a public company it is the law that they must release this information to the public. BBC use a range of multi-media information, on screen information, web-based information and more to update their consumers knowledge on their services, to inform their employee and also maybe consumers on the future developments on the BBC; to again invite their employees and consumers to support charities such as Comic Relief. The BBC use their website as a major platform for their consumers to get in touch with them and use their other services, such as iPlayer, which allows their consumer to watch shows they may have missed on the TV; BBC Bitesize, which is an educational platform opened for various ages ranging from 4-18+ and various other services provided on the website. BBC send letters to their other BBC firms, they also use it to communicate with their customers, from the governments behalf, alerting them of the TV license fees they have to pay, and how their customer can arrange the payments and these letters are sent out to every single household in the UK. Furthermore the BBC use also use emails, another form of written communication, to get in contact with their customers, when it comes to informing them about new services and products should the customer chose to subscribe to the emailing service. For example when you download the BBC iPlayer app, you can chose to register in order to save any shows you were watching until later, and this will open up the platform for the BBC to email you updating you on the services and also
