What is Safeguarding?
Safeguarding is the actions taken to promote the welfare of children and protect them from harm. It protects people's health, wellbeing and human rights, and enables them to live free from harm, abuse and neglect. Safeguarding is everyone's responsibility and it makes sure all people are supported to get good access to health care and stay well. Safeguarding come under Carers and the Care Act 2014.
