It is not uncommon to see revolutions occur in various parts of the world. There have been multiple incidents throughout history when a group attempts to bring forth an uprising in their society. The reasons behind the actions of these different rebellious groups may not be the same, however the teachings and methods that they use are often similar. In saying that, I would like to state that I will be talking about urban guerrillas in this paper. My main goal is to inform the reader on what an urban guerrilla is, how they form, why they do what they do, some of their tactics, and a few other pieces of information that I deem is important to know. Furthermore, after I have elaborated on the key aspects of an urban guerrilla, I will then talk about the Red Army Faction, which was an historical revolutionary group in West Germany. In other words, these people come together because they do not favor the status quo of the society that they currently live in. In addition, urban guerrillas are individuals who more than often perform social movements in order to bring light to a certain political situation. For example, urban guerrillas may have demonstrations because they disagree with how certain governmental policies are negatively affecting their daily lives, or they may have an issue with their government’s involvement in a war (for example, Vietnam), or they may organize themselves because they are discontent with how the government is failing to properly redistribute wealth in their society (this is common in countries with a capitalist
