By exploring our personal values and belief , we are able to understand our individual perspectives of life and the world around us. We must be careful not to impose our own values upon the service user. This mistake often happens because the support user has not clearly defined their own values and beliefs, and unconsciously projects their worldview onto the service users presenting concern. we as support workers may also hold too rigidly to their own values and fail to recognize service users rights to their own standards and beliefs.
