The strategies that were most widely used by the axis for most of world war 1 was the Schlieffen plan and the Hindenburg line. General Cunt Alfred von Schlieffen composed The Schlieffen Plan in December of1905. Schlieffen believed that the most decisive area for any future war in Europe would be in the western sector. Schlieffen’s plan would be a massive attack on France it would hopefully keep Britain from entering the war. The attack on France would be swift and take only about six weeks and then Germany could focus on Russia. The Schlieffen plan went through changes when growing tension rose in Europe but stayed true to roots and had the same objective in the end. Schlieffen’s plan seemed sound on the surface but in reality, it had major
