USP 797 is a influential regulation that owns a wide variety of pharmacy policies and procedures. Known in chapter 797 as “Pharmaceutical Compounding – Sterile Preparations,” in the USP National Formulary. It is the first set of law full sterile compounding standards introduced by the United States Pharmacopeia (USP). The USP owns any pharmacy that prepares “compounded sterile preparations.” Many large hospitals have quite a few pharmacies that are affected by a main pharmacy and multiple satellite pharmacies.
