It’s a known fact that parents will do anything for their children’s protection, however many are not doing the one thing to easily prevent sickness. Immunizations, commonly known as vaccines, help the world’s population fight off preventable diseases and illnesses. Doctors inject a miniscule amount of a specific bacteria into one’s body which allows the immune system to fight off the virus and recognize it if it comes in contact again. When we didn’t have vaccines the world was filled with terrible disease such as Polio, Measles, and Rubella. Since treatments were discovered these diseases have been classified as rare, but are now making a widespread debut due to parents refusing to vaccinate their children. The federal government should require children to be vaccinated for preventable diseases because they do not cause autism and are not dangerous to a child’s body considering that it helps them and the rest of the country.
