I believe that a child should be required to get the vaccinations that are necessary to help prevent an illness from spreading. The vaccinations that can help another person not get sick are necessary because it is not fair for another person who is healthy to get an illness due to another not wanting to get the vaccine to prevent the illness. For example, everyone should get the flu shot to prevent others and themselves from getting sick. We should all try our hardest to reduce the number of illnesses that occur when we can. I do believe that there are some vaccinations that are not needed but should be highly recommended to an individual when they go to the doctor, but the majority of the vaccines available can help the person not get a serious illness as well as the people around them.

The shots a baby receive at a very young age prevents it from so many illnesses that can be fatal to them. Vaccines do not overwhelm the child’s immune system according to CDC. A number of diseases that have occurred since vaccination has become a law is very small, the most recent one was the measles outbreak. That affected individuals who did not have the vaccine for it. If that individual had the vaccines than their body would not have been affected by the disease. There have been some cases where vaccines have harm a person, but when taking into perspective a number of people are helping versus a number of people it has harmed the numbers are very different.
