Being selected to the Varsity Cheerleading squad had been a long-term goal that I had since starting high school. As a Freshmen Cheerleader I enjoyed watching the older girls cheering at the varsity games and I hoped that someday I would be a Varsity Cheerleader. However, making the Varsity squad was very competitive and I knew I would need to overcome my fear of tumbling in order to be competitive. Therefore, starting in 10th grade I began working on my tumbling with my dad as my spotter. He gave me great tips on what to focus on and provided me with constructive criticism. I practiced my tumbling daily until I could do a backhand spring without my dads help. My dream had always been to be on the Varisty Squad as a Senior, but to my surprise
