Humanitarian Crisis in Venezuela
Executive Summary Venezuela is going through a humanitarian crisis. The scarcity of products of essential needs and medicine has caused Venezuelan people's life to be harsh and even the dead of some of them. Also, poverty and insecurity has affected the life of so many people as Venezuela is considered one of the poorest and unsafe countries in the world. While all these problems are affecting millions of Venezuelan people, the only solution offered by the opposition leaders is to negotiate with the corrupt government. In nowadays, the country that was aiming to be the richest in the world is one of the poorest with humanitarian crisis worst than those in Haiti. Before Chavez passed away in 2013, he assigned Nicolas Maduro (actual president of Venezuela) as his successor. With this being said, the crisis that this country is suffering from is because of the bad administration of the government of Chavez. Due to this, the people living in Venezuela are living in inhuman condition because of several reasons such as, poverty, insecurity, and difficulty in getting the essential products. As a consequence, these problems have caused a political confrontation between the government and the opposition, as the government refuses to hand the administration of the country. Since the start of the crisis, the corrupt Venezuela government has denied world widely that Venezuela was going through humanitarian crisis and refused the help from any country. It was until weeks ago that the chancellor of Venezuela, Delcy Rodriguez, admits that there was a humanitarian crisis but because of the decision of the president of the United States, Donald Trump, to cancel all negotiations with Venezuela, which was executed very long after the crisis started. With this being said, one can deduct that this government is so corrupt that they do not even care about the wealth of their citizens, they only care about power. So when facing a dictatorship government, there is no political way to come up with a solution. As the government of Nicolas Maduro was loosing the support and love of the citizens, the opposition leaders were gaining more support of the Venezuelan people. Being majority, the people in every decision made against the government backed them up until they started to consider the idea of negotiating with them. In 2016, the opposition leaders opened a dialogue with the government with the purpose to find solutions to the crisis.
