This story “This Little Piggy Didn't Go to Market” is an exemplification essay by Verema Dobnik. Dobnik’s message is about a pig, nicknamed Wilson, who escaped the slaughter houses in New York City’s Queens district. There is more than ninety of these slaughterhouses in New York City. This large number of slaughterhouses is because of the large amount of immigrants in the city. These immigrants are accustomed to having fresh meat and animals readily available. This expectation is what gives customers the opportunity to walk in and choose an animal from its cage or pen to be taken back and butchered. Luckily for him, Wilson escaped this situation. He ran around loose for many days before he was captured by the local animal control and given
