Victor’s Changing Goal Goals oftentimes are something that one would think has a positive outcome in their life or become known for. But the negative effects also have to be taken into consideration when in the pursuit of knowledge. In Mary Shelley’s “Frankenstein” Victor Frankenstein’s drive to unlock the secrets of life and bring an inanimate object to life takes a turn for the worse. Throughout the story, the tragic events the creature causes changes his well being almost instantly. Victor goes from a kind-hearted ambitious scientist to a tormented and remorseful individual scared of his own creation.
