Video Games can be Very Educational
I think that video gaming can be very educational while also being a lot of fun. Things such as problem solving, thinking on the spot and logical thinking can be a part of video games. I also say that video gaming is still a more productive use of time than watching TV. One can`t ignore fact that if a group of people love doing something then they are going to justify it in one way or another, and frankly it does not matter if the justification is true. People will say that darting your eyes around on a video game screen helps to stop eye cancer if it means they get to keep playing. It happens around the world, such as people claiming that marijuana lowers crime rates or how alcohol consumption in teens lowers drug addiction. First, Believe it or not some video games are very historical. The Call of Duty game series that we all play today came about because of the Medal of Honor game series, and these games that gave out legitimate historical information. In the campaign mode of the game you play as a soldier you were lead through mission that really happened during WWII. Another game that gave out historical information was a game called “Freedom Fighters” The game is set in an alternate history where the Soviet Union has invaded and occupied New York City. The plot of the game is The Soviet Union became a world superpower by dropping the first atomic bomb on Berlin, ending WWII, and propping up communist states throughout the globe which begin to surround the US in the present day. New York plumbing brothers Chris and Troy Stone travel to meet with their next client, an activist named Isabella Angelina, only to find her apartment abandoned. The Soviet Union launches a surprise invasion of New York City and suddenly Soviet soldiers, led by General Tatarin, seize Troy. Amidst the attack, Chris escapes to the streets, encountering a man named Mr. Jones and resistance member Phil Bagzton. After rescuing Isabella from a police station and Troy from a post office, the group retreats to the sewers and sets up a base of operations as New York is lost, with the media now being controlled by the Soviet Union. So as you can see games that may come off as violent can give off historical information which is educational. Secondly, Video games aren’t just the games that we play on the Xbox and PlayStation. There are games that play on are IPhone and android phones that are very educational, Solving puzzle games is a very popular thing to do and it is all part of video gaming. It even happens on your mobile phone it is helping you learn how think on their feet and solve puzzles. Puzzle
