Mission Statement
The mission of the Viking Child Care Center is to provide safe, affordable, high quality child care for the students of Hudson Valley Community College and the community. IN doing so, we support families in their efforts to reach their goals. The Viking child Care Center provides a cognitively based program for children ages six weeks to five years. We provide a home like environment where children are encouraged to develop at their own pace. The Viking staff is committed to the families we serve, providing support and encouragement.
I believe that their web site does in fact reflect their mission statement. First off it talks about the day care being affordable and high quality. Looking at their web site’s tuition tab it says that for children of students attending Hudson Community College the tuition is determined by a sliding scale fee based on gross family income

So, it is definitely affordable because the parent (s) will be charged an amount that is within their possibilities.
It also states that they are a high quality childcare service and I believe that they are because of various reasons I saw in their web site. They have a good schedule from 7:30 am to 5:30 pm. They serve breakfast, lunch and an afternoon snack which meet all nutritional requirements of the Child and Adult Food Program sponsored by The New York State Department of Health.

The center has professionally trained staff with 22 teachers which are assisted by work study students, student interns and service learners from the Hudson Valley Community College. So, they should have a very good student/teacher ratio. All of these factors give
