Vincent van Gogh’s “Tree Trunks in the Grass” show a beauty of a painting while being very simplistic in his ideas and methods. The tree trunks that appear in the front of the painting were the first things to capture my eye, noticing bits of blue in them. Making me wonder, why the blue? Was there some rain that happened, or did he do it for his own pleasure? Questions I will never get the answers to. The colors in the painting are neither too bright or too dark in my opinion, making it an overall well rounded piece to look it, very pleasing to the eye.
