It is believed that children exposed to violent and gory video games alters the way they perceive real life. I agree that being exposed to aggressive and violent media and video games will have a toll on children's behavior. Kids are being exposed to violent media in their everyday lives and may think it isn't affecting them and their behavior. No matter where you are video games are being advertised and taught to people all around the world. I think kids who are exposed to violent media at a young age will be effected in the long run. Teaching kids violence at such a young age can have an impact on their lives because their brains are taking in all the information being taught to them and they are learning and processing that in their minds. …show more content…
A lot of kids are being bought these video games such as call of duty, Mortal Kombat, Resident Evil, Assassin's Creed, God of war, etcetera. These video games are teaching kids how to be violent and is teaching them that it is normal and fun to be like this. When playing these video games you get rewarded for the highest kills you get or the goriest kill you perform on a character. Rather than playing outside with other children and becoming social kids are spending more time playing these video games and will subconsciously start adopting the habits of these characters they are pretending to be in these virtual games. Promoting violence can cause violent behavior. Grand theft auto is a good example of a game that promotes violence, drugs, and robbery. This video games shows that being a criminal is a form of lifestyle and shows that if you want to achieve something you need to steal and commit acts of violence. Kids can perform this acts in real life and not know they are doing wrong because this is what is being taught to them in these video games. A simple push can be really hurtful to a small child or even to an adult they can fall and get a serious head
