10 minutes. 10 minutes is how long it took for Seung-Hui Cho to shoot 30 people, including himself, on his college campus. That same morning, he shot 2 other students. On April 16, 2007, Seung-Hui Cho walked onto the Virginia Tech University campus and killed 33 people in all, injuring 23 others in the process. It has been 17 years since the Virginia Tech Massacre, and many people have forgotten about this tragic event. The Virginia Tech campus has two memorials in honor of the massacre. The first is a bench with the engraved message, “In Honor of the Survivors”. The second is 32 stones placed in a circle on the drill field. Each stone is engraved with the hokie mascot.
