While wandering around the Chazen Museum, one particular sculpture caught my eye. Flower Girl, by Cynthia Consentino is a sculpture of a young girl, presumably five to seven years old surrounded by three light pink Crinum Hybrids.The little girl is wearing a white polka dot dress, white-pink socks folded at the ankles, and maroon closed toed shoes. Her ginger colored hair is parted to the side and is put into two long braids down her back; a look of innocence. At a first, quick glance, the sculpture seems normal, but when I took a second to observe the piece of art, I noticed that the pretty light pink flowers were placed upside down.
