Seeing thousands of dead people, most thought Vlad to be a vampire! The victims looked white and were drained of blood. Vlad was born in Transylvania though there was no proof that he owned land there. He got his nickname Dracul from his father; Vlad the II it means son of the Dragon, cause he was in the Army of the Dragon. But in some languages his nickname also means son of the Devil (Lallanilla) (Parvis),even the Vlad was accused of being a vampire he did have priests and other religious people around him all the time. Some say for good luck others to ward of evil. His family also built over fifty monasteries over 150 years, he actually was pretty religious (Johnson) .Even though was religious some people believe that he was part of the reason for Bram Stoker's “Dracula”.cause of all the horrific events the vampire has in common with the king (Parvis). Just like the vampire “Dracula”, Vlad the Impaler actually did used to drink human blood (Lallanilla)!Vlad actually was reported to have eaten a meal in front of his impaled victims. When people seen the dead in the air and drained of blood they feared him to be a vampire. But the reason they were drained of blood was cause the blood would drain out of them after being in the air for so long (Miller). Vlad actually did kill more than 40000 people in his lifetime (Johnson)! The legend about how vampires used to drink blood, was actually said to have come from a goddess Kali. Who is a Hindu goddess of death, time, and doomsday. She was mainly thought of for sexuality and violence she was also known for her motherly love. She also was known for holding a bowl of blood, this is where they think that vampires are said to drink
