My name is Candice
Alexander.
I was born in Sacramento,
California and I now live in
Dayton, Ohio. I am currently a junior at Marietta College located in Marietta, Ohio. I am majoring in marketing with a minor in advertising and public relations. I plan to graduate in May of 2015.

Sports have always been a big part of my life.
Throughout high school I played volleyball, basketball, and I also ran track. In college I have continued the life of a student-athlete by playing basketball at Marietta College.
I am an All-Conference player in the OAC and I am on my way to becoming a 1,000 point scorer. Sports have taught me a lot about life and shaped me into the person I am today. I am a team player who works hard and is very competitive. I always strive to do my best.
Growing up I have always loved to play dress up and by the age of 12, I had already subscribed to my first magazine; Teen Vogue. I love keeping up with recent trends so I am also subscribed to
Harper Bazaar, Vogue, and W Magazine. I love everything about fashion. I believe it’s one of the best ways to express yourself.
My favorite quote by Rachel Zoe is “Style is a way to say who you are without having to speak.” With my father serving in the Air Force for 24 years,
I have been very fortunate to travel the world. I have lived in California, Alabama, Ohio, and
Germany. Germany was probably my favorite place to live because I had the opportunity to travel to so many places in Europe.
My favorite trip was touring Spain, France, and
Italy. I really enjoyed learning about the culture and especially the shopping. One place I have not been to, but hope to visit is Greece.
During Habitat for Humanity, we helped build a local home in Parkersburg, WV.
We helped install the drywall. This was such a rewarding experience to help someone build their soon to be home.
Every year the Marietta College Student-Athlete
Advisory Committee sponsors the Sports
Extravaganza. It is a great opportunity for the athletes to get involved in the community and make lasting friendships with Special Olympians.
37 local Special Olympians joined us for the Carnival themed event. The Special Olympians participated in various carnival games including ring toss, putt putt, bowling, duck pond, hot shot, target toss and face painting. The St. Baldrick's Foundation is a volunteer-driven charity that funds childhood cancer research grants more than any other organization besides the
