Animal testing is a brutal procedure that is conducted on animals which are understated in the eye of the public; it is embedded in our human nature to prevent the unethical actions whether it is to other humans, environment, or animals. To begin with, several well-known companies such as Volkswagen was involved in an outrage that the company is involved in funding research to test the health effect of diesel emissions on animals such as monkeys. The financial analysis on the health effects of diesel exhaust, the experiment insists on using ten macaque's monkeys in airtight chambers.
Volkswagen is Europe's biggest car manufacturer had to defend its reputation from the emission-cheating scandal by assuring the company no longer undertakes any action that could potentially harm the animal's. However, the company was obligated to pay tens of billions of dollars of fine, imprisonment of top officials, and the successive chief executive was dismissed. Additionally, Volkswagen was illegally associated with improvising the millions of vehicles software to meet the pollution standards that shifted the public insight on diesel exhaust. Therefore, the scandal directly impacted the company's market value as Volkswagen no longer credible of the entire auto industry. The company is dishonest would negatively affect them in the long-run.
