Voter suppression is a serious issue that affects the rights of individuals to vote in elections. It happens when one group of people are restricted from voting, usually by a close to impossible test. It completely disregarded America's constitution and everything it stands for. Voter Suppression has a long history of targeting minority groups, such as African Americans. It had a significant impact on the history of America.

One way Voter Suppression has been inflicted on minorities in America in the past is through literacy tests. Usually in the past, people of color did not receive an education, therefore they could not pass the test.
