Lcc students confident Robin Van Persie will be the man to guide Manchester United to Premier league glory
According to students at London College of Communication, the summer signing of Robin Van Persie combined with experience of manager Sir Alex Ferguson , tilts the title race in Manchester United’s favour.
Van persie signed from Arsenal in the summer for the fee of 22 million, a sum that surprised many due to his age of 29, young in most of societies eye, but in footballing terms fairly old. RVP has already notched 22 goals this campaign for united, with 10 of those coming in his last 10 games, helping united to the top of the table with a 5 point gap over nearest rivals Manchester City.
Dominic 20 from Lcc says “ The league has to be going to Manchester United, after what happened last season, i can’t see it happening again, especially with Ferguson at the helm. Van Persie’s goals will be the difference in my opinion” said the student.
Dominic’s opinion seem to be one shared by most at the University.
Jordan 19 agreed stating “ It has to be Manchester United, they have the best manager in the history of football, they possess great belief, the will to win and a never say die attitude”.
Leon 20 shared their views “ Manchester United have to be favourite’s, mainly down to the impact of Robin Van Persie. The man scored 30 goals last year in an average Arsenal team, i think he’s bound to get more this season with the quality of player he has around him. United also possess a better strength in depth than any other team, so for these reasons i believe that they will win the league”.
Although the majority share the same opinion, there are a few who believe deja vu could happen all over again, with city pipping united to the title, as well as a minority still believing chelsea can overhaul the Manchester clubs.
