In the book Walk Two Moons, Chapter 30, “Breaking In”, Phoebe and Sal break into Margaret Cadaver’s house. The purpose of Phoebe and Sal breaking into Margaret’s house was to find out if Margaret chopped her husband up. Phoebe waited for Mrs. Cadaver to leave, then Phoebe phoned Sal to come over. They broke in and they were surprised that Mrs. Partridge was there because everything was dark. Mrs. Partridge recognized Sal based on her sound and smell because she has visited there before.
