Warren G. Harding was a part of the Republican party and the 29th president of the United States of America. Harding served one term in the presidency along with vice president Calvin Coolidge. He served from March 4th,1921 to August 2nd,1923.Before running for president, Harding was the senator of Ohio from 1915-1921. Warren G. Harding was married to Florence “fossie” Mabel King Harding , who which he had a son with.

Mrs. Harding, an intellectual young woman of a deeply religious nature, found time to take an active part in the social life of the community. During these years, in the office of the Caledonia , the local newspaper, of which Harding was part owner, the future president became interested in journalism and served a position in printing.

Harding was a successful newspaper publisher who served in the Ohio legislature and the U.S. Senate. In 1920, he won the general election ,promising a “return to normalcy” after the hardships of World War I. As president, he favored pro-business policies and limited immigration.
Harding's constant and steady Republicanism and vibrant speaking voice, and his willingness to let the “main bosses” set policies, led him far in Ohio politics. He served in the state Senate and as Lieutenant Governor, and unsuccessfully ran for Governor. He delivered the nominating address for President Taft at the 1912 Republican Convention.
