“But how could he not kill a tyrant, a man who would bring Rome to ruin?” this quote is the opposite point of view for Caesar. Caesar was a hero to Rome. Many citizens looked up to him and they believed he was a great ruler. Caesar impacted Rome in a great way.
Caesar impacted Rome by balancing the economy for his people in a good way. Caesar fed the hungry with free bread and supplied the town with more grain than they needed. In the story it says, “Supplying Rome with more grain than the city needed”. Caesar also created jobs for the people. He did this by creating roads, temples and aqueducts. Caesar had everything under control for Rome. In the story it says, “Fresh water flowed freely in fountains throughout the city, sanitation, sewage, and food, all were seemingly under the control of Caesar”. Many people will agree that he is a tyrant because his mission for power. People thought this because of his idea to be higher up than his people. Caesar made the senate worthless when he took their power. Many believed all Caesar wanted was power for himself. In the story it says, “He promised to return power to the senate once reforms were made, but Caesar took to wearing red boots”. Caesar never let the senate regain their power. However, Caesar improved the economy for his people. When he took the senate’s power things started to be normal again. He also created jobs and buildings for his people and the food supply grew. People who thought he was a tyrant are wrong because all the great things he did for Rome improved the city. When he took the senate’s power he was not trying to be mean he was just trying to make better for Rome.
