While teenagers take delight in flipping bottles, most don't realize the mess it provides for the custodial staff. I love the custodial staff and appreciate what they do, but they don't need to be cleaning up messes that can be prevented. You can look almost anywhere and see leftover bottles from previous flippings. I don't know about you, but when I and other friends got caught up in the fad, our grades went downhill. I, for one care about my grades, and I won’t let a fad lead to a lecture with my parents. Lets face it who likes having the Friday-night grade lecture with Mom and Dad? I know I don't.
Finally, sometimes you have to ask yourselves, “How is this benefiting me?” When you can answer this question honestly and truthfully to yourselves, it might not be the answer you wanted but it is still your answer. After looking closer and questioning bottle flipping, you understand the full effect. And unless you do that there is no way you can possibly think that your counter argument is wrong.
In conclusion, water bottle flipping has proven to be a challenge because of the mess it provides , the correlation with declining grades, and the overall lack of usefulness.
