When thirsty reach for water or Soda? Water is essential to every living being on planet earth. It also provides nutrients needed to survive with no calories and added sugar. Water also quenches thirst unlike coke which leaves a person thirsty and wanting more. Soda is a carbonated water, sweetener and flavoring soft drink which comes in variety of flavors and brands sold throughout the world. It was originally invented as medicine to help save lives. Without water a human can only survive for three days, and coke will not replace the nutrients a human needs. There are several differences between water and soda, and water can help you stay hydrated, help take care of teeth, and eliminate health risks.
Staying hydrated is very important not only for health reasons, but also replaces natural loss from our bodies. The recommend amount of water someone should drink a day is eight glasses. When maintaining a healthy diet water should be on top of everyone’s list and not drinking a soda. Water will actually help a person loose or maintain their body weight. It will also keep a person fuller longer throughout the day, and help a person consume fewer calories. While water has zero calories and zero sugars, an average soda has 150 calories and 40 grams of sugar per drink. Over time regular soda consumption can lead to weight gain and the health problems that, is fatty liver disease and metabolic syndrome. If someone drink a soda there are some good alternatives with diet sodas, or zero calories sodas all are which a good alternative to regular soda, but they still contain some caffeine.
