The Life of Rosie Mee In the movie We Bought a Zoo, directed by Cameron Crowe, Rosie Mee goes through life always happy, and never worries about anything. In the story, Rosie tries to replace her mother. Rosie is very open about her mother's death. When she was driving in the car with her dad and the real estate man, she said “ My mommy died” (Crowe x:xx). When Rosie and Benjamin went “house hunting”, The real estate agent, Mr. Stevens, brought them to a home with a large piece of property, but what they didn't know was it was also a zoo. At first Ben had no desire of buying the zoo, but when he saw how happy Rosie was at the zoo, he decided to buy it. When they got back to the house Rosie excitedly said “ We bought a zoo!” (Crowe x:xx).
