Exaggerating is apart of our everyday life. We exaggerate to put emphasis on what we are saying. To a parent when their unruly teenager exaggerates it comes out more as sass. The exaggeration that is in your world is also apart of the literature world, but they ’re more commonly known as hyperboles, which “... are unreal exaggerations to emphasize the situation” (literarydevices.net). Unlike us who use it just emphasize what we are saying, writers use it to make our ordinary feelings more intense to the point where it doesn’t feel right or normal.
