The Narrative included humility, compassion, kindness, sympathy, intelligence, patience, fortitude, and wisdom. He put in great pleasure in his work with others and often put every other person’s need above himself. He was not an aggressive person; even in his "fight" with Covey, he did not resort to actually fighting back, but simply dodged Covey's attack and would not let him be aggressive towards him. He was unstoppable in his passion to abolish slavery; he journeyed to the North and gave speeches, wrote journal articles, and told his story time and time again. He gave a purpose to those who were still suffering in the ugly industry of slavery. He was an excellent writer and speaker; he used important literary devices and impressed all who listened to him. He was alert and precise, never giving up on things that he wanted and were important to him, for example: learning how to read and write, freeing himself from slavery, and helping his fellow slaves who suffered as he did. He was also extremely selfless, devoting everything he had to take away the cause of women's suffrage in his future years.
