Henry Hudson is a hero for actions such as discovering Hudson’s bay, trading with Native Americans, helping find new colonies, and English expansion. These are heroic actions because he didn’t hurt anyone in any way. He helped the Natives by trading with them and gave the dutch a new place to live. Henry Hudson discovered Hudson’s bay on his fourth voyage in April 1610. He sailed on the Discovery on which he was trying to find a Pacific-bound channel. He thought that he had found the Pacific when he found that the coastline opened up towards the south, but it was actually Hudson’s bay. While in Hudson's bay the crew of Henry Hudson became upset and angry at him. In June of 1611 he was casted adrift in Hudson’s bay with his son and other crew
