Natalie Portman was born Neta-Lee Herslag in Jerusalem, Israel on June 9, 1981. When she began acting she took her grandmothers maiden name, Portman. We know her as a famous Hollywood actress, however, there's much much more to her. With many interests, she wasn't sure about making acting her lifelong career. Her education has always been her top priority. Between high school and college she has numerous accomplishments. She attended a public school and was accepted to Havard, all while acting in plays and filming movies. She credits her parents for her success, positively instilling her with a strong work ethic and love for learning. Her father is a docto and her mother is an artist.
