Background info : In 1954, the supreme court of the brown v. board of education was voted the segregation of colored and whites. Many southern leaders claimed the desegregation decision violated the public education and responded with refinance legal challenges. That's not it the people rose up and defended the colored like Martin Luther King, Rosa Parks, and Andrea Goodman. In 1968 colored were no longer separated some people didn’t like it so people are still mean to colored. The civil rights movement was a hard time for colored and white were vicious against each other and said mean names. They thought it was okay to treat each other this way and it's not and that's when it changed the law for whites and blacks were allowed to treat each other the same. I am not telling you this to be against each other this should bring you closer together and embrace each other
