I grew up in a family that has children with different skin colors, hair types, and hair colors. My family gets this contrast in skin color from the sun. My uncles work on fishing so they get tan by the sun and they get a dark brown skin. I have a white skin as my aunts. However, we get our hair by genes, so the colors contrast from dark brown to light brown. If some one contrasts two member of our family, he will not find a lot of similarities between them. Our family grew up with being good with having differences while other families suffer from that. A lot of people asked me if I think that I belong to this family or not, my answer was very simple; I always say that these differences are the thing that make our family be ours and be special. …show more content…
Racism is an action that makes people think that they are better than the others and make the others feel so bad. Racism is not human action only, but some kinds of animals practice it too. Some kinds of animals do not allow others to be part of their kingdom and will treat them badly. Racism in human worlds makes people suffer a lot and sometimes it kills them. A lot of people get killed just because they are Muslims, blacks, or from a different place. People who practice racism have to realize that we are all human and we deserve to live the same life without saying that you are different, so you do not belong to us. Racist acts is what people do to practice racism and making people feel bad about their selves. Racism happens when a group of people think that they are perfect and make others see the differences between them by their skin colors, shape, ethics, life position, etc. Also, these people are trying to prove that their group is the best one and they lower other groups’ position without thinking about their feelings. For example, a lot of white people think that the black people are all slave and this is not only in the U.S, but I saw that in my country too –Oman-. This treatment is the most horrible thing I saw in my life. Having a dark skin does not mean that you are slave because a lot of people who have dark skin came from a big family that lead a country one day.
