While the man's achievements were numerous, we will only cover two of them in detail, his handling of the trusts, and the great steps he made in natural conservation.

The trusts, and normal Americans alike, had been working the land at a breakneck pace. Roosevelt feared that if this pattern continued, that the land would soon be exhausted. He quickly staked out massive areas of the United States, beautiful wildernesses and canyons, open plains, and lakes, to make into protected national parks. Among the list of parks created by Roosevelt were: the Crater Lake National Park, the Chickasaw National Recreation Area, Mesa Verde National park, and, most notably, Yosemite National Park. He also created legislation that would help preserve the lands natural resources, protecting them from being abused and exhausted.
We owe a great deal to Theodore Roosevelt, his contributions that help free workers from the oppressive trusts, and his legislation to preserve the beautiful land of the United States both claim massive impacts on the way we live our lives today.
