I soon found friends and even felt welcome by most, But that wasn’t the best part. Switching schools gave me a fresh start, a clean slate. I could really become myself. It’s exactly that concept that implemented the idea in my head that it doesn’t matter where you started, or what you’ve done in the past, but what you’re doing now and who you have become. I have learned that using my past, whether it be the good or bad, to help characterize myself as me. They are the people who have been with me from the moment I first decided I wanted to be an artist when I was in kindergarten, to the time in third grade when I decided I instead wanted to become an astronaut and explore outer space, all the way to today as I have decided I want to become a journalist and write my own books along the way. Whether I change my mind again or even decide to become an artist on the side, my family would still support me and encourage whatever career I wanted to pursue. Having my family by my side has shaped helped my dreams, and is often what keeps me moving
