The STEM field means a great deal to me because I want to help save people's lives and it is also the field that I have been interested in for a long time.I really got interested in science because my 9th grade biology teacher explained everything to me in a way that just clicked like no other teacher has.I really got interested in medicine when I took a first aid class at my school. They explained some of the procedures to treat some injuries and it made me realize that I can make a difference in people's lives by making them well again. I want to further my education in a STEM field because I want to become a doctor to help people.I know that there are tons of people everyday that are sick and unwell and I want to make that number significantly smaller.As a kid i had pneumonia and I know what that is like and I don't want anyone to suffer like that .I see and hear stories all over the place about how people are suffering from these diseases and conditions I want to help these people so they can return to their normal …show more content…
I believe STEM fields are important because there are millions of jobs that can't be completed without these STEM jobs,STEM jobs are a vital part of society today because it is STEM jobs that are what make the world run. Without STEM jobs there wouldn't be doctors or engineers that build the houses we live in or the roads we travel on .without doctors we would never get better when we are sick we would just get sicker and sicker until we died . If I was to get this scholarship I would use it to get a degree in nursing to get my foot in the door to become a doctor.I would like to attend UNH or Manchester Community College for my bachelors in nursing and after that I plan on going to Emory University in Georgia for my doctor's degree.
