After the attacIn less than one hour, Japanese Aircraft were able to destroy all of Pearl Harbor, resulting in the sinking of our ships and the deaths of many innocent Americans.Pearl Harbor was not ready for the devastating attack (Steinbachar). The people on the island were just getting up and heading to work like normal but suddenly the planes flew over and began to shoot at everything in sight. As the planes flew over people didn’t know what to do, they just stopped and many people were caught in the crossfire. Although pearl Harbor was the reason we entered WWII,many Americans don't know we entered WWII, many Americans don’t know what happened before, during, after the devastating attack.
Before the planes flew over Oahu on Sunday December 7,1941, it was a quiet, beautiful morning (Steinbachar). People were just starting to go to Church and the children were still in a deep sleep. The people of Oahu were not even thinking about the war because the war was on the other side of the world.
