Grief, loss and tears - have you ever read the poem “Hey Daddy?” Have you ever wondered what happened to Jesse Dependport’s father? Did his father leave the family or did he die when he went on the plane. In my opinion I believe that Jesse’s father passed away when he went on the plane. I believe this for various reasons. To begin with in the poem “Hey Daddy” it states ““hey daddy, please don’t let me go I want these years to last I just wish I could let you know how much I don’t want you to leave how much I appreciate your company” This claims Jesse misses his father, however it also claims Jesse wishes he let his father know how much he appreciates his company but he cant.
