Gorillas are some of the most powerful and striking animals in the world. But not only for their size and force, but also for their gentle human like behavior. They play a crucial role biodiversity, roaming through large territories and helping. They help us by spreading the seeds of fruit they consume. In the wild apes are a massive and dominate herbivorous animal. They roam the forest of Africa predominately. Gorillas are ground-dwelling and live in groups. The oldest and largest silverback leads a family of females, their young and younger males called blackbacks. The silverback makes the decisions on when the group does pretty much anything such as waking up, eating, move and rests for the night. Because he must protect his family at all times, the silverback tends to be the most aggressive. The silverback will beat his chest and charge at the perceived threat. We can look more into their lives. Global warming is the increase in average temperature of earth’s atmosphere. Global warming is dramatically affecting gorillas. It is causing to habitat destruction, which is the leading reason why they are an endangered species, and almost to critically endangered. Gorillas are threatened by habitat loss due to increasing human populations which this causes deforestation and buildings so we are taking away their homes, poaching for the bush meat trade and diseases like Ebola because they are closely related to us so they experience all of the disease that we do. Species that live in higher elevations, like the mountain gorillas, are also affected by climate change which has the potential to impact gorillas directly by altering their habitat, and indirectly by affecting agriculture yields in nearby communities, which in turn puts more pressure on remaining
