Between 1942 and the end of the war, Johanna Eck saved four people from being killed in the holocaust. Two of the four refugees were members of the Guttmann family, even though they weren’t related. They were Heinz and Elfriede Guttmann. She succeeded in saving these people by using papers of other Germans http://sprawiedliwi.org.pl/en/o-sprawiedliwych/.
Johanna Eck was born in Berlin, Germany on January 4th, 1888. Not much is known about Johanna’s life before the war. Her husband died, fighting in the previous world war.
