In the 1800s Indians are getting tossed out of their: homes, lands, and territories; that resigned in the west. By being deceived into signing a form saying they would get their territory back later on. President Andrew Jackson got the Indians to sign the treaty, which basically made them leave the west. Not long after the Supreme Court chose that Indians couldn't hold a title to their property. Tribes attempt to oppose as much as they could, without violence. In 1830 Andrew Jackson made the Indian Removal Act. Which stated that Indians had to move east and surrender their property in the west. Trying to be as peaceful as possible, the Indians resisted. So Americans constrained them to clear out. A few Indians, in any case, chose to stay, however, that did not sit well with numerous Americans.
