“It will now be our fortunate duty to assist… in the establishment of just democracy throughout the world” (Osinski, 81). This shows that he was helping everyone around the world, to come together and end the war. He was trying to make peace throughout the world. “But for wilson and the senate the heart of the treaty was the league of nations and American membership in the league” (Osinski, 81). Wilson shows here that he wanted the U.S to lead the league of nations and to help everyone that he could. He thought the league of nations was a symbol that the United States was helping all that it could. “My fellow countrymen, the armistice was signed this morning. Everything for which America fought has been accomplished” (woodrow wilson). This shows that he had accomplished everything that America wanted. He was now viewed as a leader to everyone around the world, and everyone liked him. He was officially a legacy forever.
